Membership Overview

Join OTA and help enhance online trust, empower users and the promote vitality of the internet! 

Formed as an informal industry working group in 2005, today OTA is global think tank , charitable non-profit with the mission to enhance online trust and empower users, while promoting innovation and the vitality of the internet.  OTA is global organization supported by over 100 organizations headquartered in Bellevue, Washington with offices in Washington DC.

Membership requires participation in a minimum of one working committee and a commitment to support applicable OTA  security and responsible privacy best practices.  All members receive a license to use the OTA logo and/or OTA member logo on their website and printed materials.

The OTA Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy governs the treatment of intellectual property in the production of deliverables by the OTA.  Any material submitted to OTA or a working committee in writing or electronically, whether in an in-person meeting, orally or in any electronic conference or mailing list maintained by OTA may be included in any OTA Deliverable without attribution.  To the extent that a Contributor holds a copyright interest in its Contribution, such Contributor grants to OTA a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide copyright license, with the right to directly and indirectly sublicense, to copy, publish, and distribute the Contribution in any way, and to prepare derivative works that are based on or incorporate all or part of the Contribution solely for the purpose of developing and promoting the OTA Deliverable and enabling (subject to the rights of the owners of any Essential Claims) the implementation of the same by Licensees or Beneficiaries.
